The area normally occupied by the front bedroom and a box-room is combined with the landing to form a generous, flexible workspace. The bedroom function is not, however, completely excluded. Two single beds are concealed behind screens when the space is in work mode. Conversely, the large built-in desk can be concealed behind screens when the space in bedroom mode. This ‘live with’ type is suitable for businesses which do not require non-family employees and which are visited by associates or members of the general public only on an appointment basis.

Another, more modest, version of the type preserves a completely enclosed double bedroom, while yet another  makes use of a piece of transformable bedroom/office furniture in an even larger, square open space.
