The first Workhome Workshop was held in March 2010. Its purpose was to bring together academics and practitioners from a range of associated fields to comment on the research findings of the Workhome Project  and to discuss directions for its future.

The first Workhome Project Symposium: 'Introducing the workhome: design for home-based work' was held on Feb 16 2011. It attracted nearly 100 delegates, and was addressed by Ruth Reed [President of the RIBA], Dr Frances Holliss and Prof Colin Davies [Workhome Project], Oliver Rehm [Director, Baufritz (UK) Ltd and Partner in Industry], Sarah Wigglesworth [Director, Sarah Wigglesworth Architects], MJ Long [Director, Long and Kentish and CABE Commissioner], Lucy Musgrave [Director, Publica] and Graeme Evans [Director, Cities Institute]. This has been written up by Clare Melhuish in an article in the international journal Architectural Review, 'Home-working - the new peasantry or a regenerative impulse for cities?' 4 March 2011.
