Walt Disney's first studio
Walt Disney's first studio was established in 1923 in his Uncle Robert's garage at Kingswell Street, Los Angeles, California. With only $40 in his pocket and a dream in his head, Walt Disney set up in his uncle's garage after being rejected by every movie studio in town. Originally located at 4406 Kingswell Street in Los Feliz, the garage was moved to the Garden Grove Historical Society Stanley Ranch Museum and now sits just 9 minutes from Disneyland [www.enterprisenation.com].
